Our Food

 With a reputation for traditional, hearty food David and Colleen have worked hard to produce something for everyone, whether it be their famous ‘Homemade Pies’ or ‘Signature Burger Menu’, where all our Waygu Steak Burgers are Half Pounders, including the notorious ‘Dirty Burger’, be brave, be very brave, and their own ‘Home-made Lamb Donar Kebab Burger’.

Priding themselves on great tasting substantial dishes at sensible prices, they are well known for an excellent selection of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free dishes on their menu, including Vegan Pies, Stroganoffs and Stews, plus Gluten Free Meat and Vegetarian dishes. 

Working with smaller independent suppliers, with anethos of ‘Farm to Table’, the couple believe in using Seasonal and Local produce wherever possible, with a ‘No waste’ policy, all dishes are lovingly prepared and cooked by Colleen. 

The pub also runs a ‘Take Away’ Menu from Monday to Saturday, which has proved to be very popular in the local area especially with young families. 

For those of you who have never visited the Elsworth Poacher before we always recommend booking in advance as we only have eight tables and prioritize bookings, also we do require pre-orders on all tables of six and above due to the size of our kitchen.
